For the second time in just one week, Toyota has issued another recall. This comes just after a worldwide recall on 1.9 million Prius cars with faulty software that could cause the vehicle to stall suddenly. This latest recall affects approximately 261,000 vehicles manufactured in 2012 and 2013.
Most of the recalls involve the Toyota:
- RAV4;
- Tacoma; and
- Lexus RX350 crossover vehicles.
There is the potential for the anti-lock brakes to malfunction, making them inoperable. This reduces the driver’s ability to maintain control and as a result, increases the risk of a crash.
