April 15, 2011 – Queens, NY – According to reports from NBC NY and NY 1, yet another serious car crash off the Queensboro Bridge recently occurred and ended with the driver’s arrest. This comes after a March 28 accident where a driver went airborne from the Queensboro Bridge and fatally struck a pedestrian. In almost the same spot as this accident, which happened at about 4 a.m. Wednesday, April 6. Alexander Palacio, 39, lost control of his Volkswagen Jetta as he came off the exit. He was apparently speeding when he ended up hitting the same building hit in the previous crash, a nail salon located near Queens Plaza. Like last week’s driver who lost an arm and was driving a Volkswagon, Palacio suffered a partially severed arm and was taken to Bellevue Hospital. He was also later arrested for operating a vehicle without a license. A 40-year-old woman who was a passenger in his car was listed in critical condition after suffering a severe head injury.
