Driver of Cab Hits Pedestrian and Leaves Scene of Accident in Bronx

October 27, 2011 – Bronx, N.Y. – According to a report from New York 1, a cab driver hit a pedestrian and then left the scene.  The pedestrian accident occurred just after 11 p.m. on Monday, October 24. An unidentified 43-year-old man was struck at the intersection of Third Avenue and East 163rd Street.  After the cab driver hit the pedestrian, he was then struck by a private sanitation truck. Although the cab driver fled, the truck driver stopped and remained at the scene of the accident.  The victim was then transported to Lincoln Hospital, but was pronounced dead.  Police are still looking for the driver of the cab.  If you or a loved one were seriously or fatally injured in a pedestrian accident, then compensation may be available.
