May 19, 2011 – Queens, New York – NBC New York reports that a 3rd car crash in the last 2 months into a Queens Plaza Building has occurred. This is yet a 3rd time in which a car has veered off the Queensboro Bridge and ended up crashing into a building. This latest car accident took place on Saturday morning, May 14. The unidentified driver crashed into a building at Crescent Street and Queens Plaza South. The driver was taken to the hospital. However, the extent of his or her injuries is unknown at this time. The off-ramp where the car veered from was recently redone as a part of the “Queens Plaza Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvement Project.” However, since March 28 there have been 2 other crashes. The first crash resulted in the fatality of a man standing on the sidewalk and the second crash resulted in 2 injuries. If you have been seriously injured in a car accident, you should consult with a New York personal injury attorney to discuss your case. According to statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in 2009, there were 1,156 fatalities as a result of traffic accidents in the state of New York.
