An unidentified 41-year-old man was on his scooter, stopped at a stop sign when he was struck from behind. The driver of the car, an unidentified 29-year-old man, is believed to have been under the influence when his 2002 Buick struck the man on the scooter. He was immediately taken into police custody following the incident The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
