June 17, 2011 – Bronx, New York – According to a report from My Fox New York, an SUV, believed to be speeding on the Bronx River Parkway, fell off the overpass and onto a pickup truck in the parking lot of the 12th District Police Station. The car accident took place on Saturday, June 4, at about 8 a.m. The driver and passenger, a 28-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the Jacobi Medical Center. There were no injuries to any other parties. Police said the Acura 2005 SUV had been traveling north in the left lane when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The SUV went across both lanes of traffic, crashing into a guard rail and chain linked fence before it fell 22 feet onto a pickup truck in the police station parking lot. At this time charges haven’t been filed and no details on the severity of the victims’ injuries have been reported.
